If this ignites your passion for therapy, you are made for this!Our Home Health COTAs enjoy some excellent benefits:$55/Visit (PRN)1:1 therapist-to-patient ratios where you impact outcomesFlexible assignments, autonomy and work-life balanceOnline training, growth and ability to earn CEUsPTO/Holiday payMedical/Dental/Vision/Supplemental insurances offeredAs a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injuryWork as part of a home health team which may include an RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT and SLP, focused on the patient’s plan of care and personal goalsAssess patient, observe deficits, establish therapy goals and document progressAssist patient with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordinationSuggest adaptive equipment such as grab bars and shower chairs to offer added supportAssess fall risks and introduce strategies to improve home safetyEducate patient and family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-careA few must-haves for Home Health COTAs:Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program and active COTA license in VirginiaMinimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience, ideally in home healthcareKnowledge of state and federal home health regulationsGood clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionateInterim HealthCare provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.
