nJob Summary
nWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your patients with using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations.
nResponsibilities
nRead, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
nAssist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
nAssist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
nAssemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
nAttend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
nMaintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes
nQualifications
nCurrent state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
nPrevious experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
nStrong customer service skills and a positive attitude
nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suite
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
nStrong time management skills
nThe ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment
