Occupational Therapy - COTA SNFShift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hoursStart Date: 10/31/2026, Call Required: NoNew Hampshire OTA License, BLS, 2 years experienceSetting: LTC, City: Lebanon, State: NH, Unit Beds: 110COTAs in Skilled Nursing Facilities work under an Occupational Therapist to carry out parts of the therapy process focused on intervention and patient progress. They begin by reviewing charts and precautions and may assist with directed assessments (without interpreting results). Their main role is implementing the OT's treatment plan: training patients in ADLs, leading therapeutic activities and exercises, assisting with functional mobility and transfers, and teaching use of adaptive equipment or environmental modifications. They also support cognitive and memory care, educate families and caregivers, and document sessions to justify skilled therapy and reimbursement. COTAs collaborate with the care team, report changes in condition, and must follow ethical, federal, and state practice regulations.A COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) in a Skilled Nursing Facility works under an Occupational Therapist to help residents regain or maintain independence in daily activities. They carry out treatment plans using therapeutic exercises and activities, assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility, and carefully document patient progress for the OTR to review. COTAs also educate patients and families on home exercises and adaptive equipment, collaborate with the care team to coordinate discharge planning, and maintain safe treatment environments. In SNFs, patients usually stay short-term for rehab after illness, injury, or surgery, and COTAs play a key role in helping them return to their highest functional level.We are an equal opportunity employer.
