Job Description
Create Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' individual needs and develop tailored therapy strategies to assist them in accomplishing their everyday goals.
Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to enhance patients' motor functions, cognitive skills, and ability to perform daily activities.
Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with fellow occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate Patients and Family Members: Provide guidance to patients and their caregivers on therapy methods to aid in continuous progress at home.
Track Patient Progress: Monitor outcomes and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that patients are on a clear path to recovery.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Continuing education and post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported
Certifications
Valid Occupational Therapy (OTR/L) license
NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
Skills
