Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Leverage evidence-based methods to enhance patients' motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily living skills
Collaborate with Care Teams: Engage cooperatively with OTs, PTs, STs, medical teams, and nursing staff to provide holistic support
Guide Patients and Families: Educate patients and their loved ones about therapeutic practices to bolster ongoing progress at home
Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized or accredited university
Encouragement for ongoing education and professional certifications
Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification necessary
A genuine passion for helping individuals attain their highest degree of independence
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and colleagues alike
Creative thinking and flexibility in adapting treatment plans to satisfy varied patient needs
Confidence in working independently as well as part of a close-knit, interdisciplinary team
