n$1,500 for Full time and $500 for Part Time
nSpeech Therapy Plus is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a therapeutic team. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating children. We are seeking an experienced clinician to work approximately 10 hours per week at a private clinic in Ramsey, New Jersey. The ideal candidate has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
nAs an Occupational Therapist, individuals will be responsible for providing center-based occupational therapy for children with autism while working collaboratively with a team of BCBAs and Behavior Technicians
nResponsibilities include providing occupational therapy, providing training to team members and families, conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and monitoring the progress of each child
nMust have ability to counsel parents and provide at come carryover strategies.
nDaytime school hours are required and one day for evening hours required.
nRequirements:
nMaster's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
nCurrent Occupational Therapy license in the state of New Jersey
nExperience in Pediatrics
nResponsibilities:
nDemonstrates comprehensive evaluation skills and interventions. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and modification of plan of care as appropriate.
nMaintains and completes evaluations, patient records, reports and all written documentation effectively and in a timely manner, in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
nMaintain friendly, cordial relationships with all clients and employees.
nEffectively communicates with patient and/or family/significant other in providing education and literature in accordance with the patient’s age, physical condition and cultural needs.
nAdheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.
nDevelop treatment plans by identifying need, determining long and short-term goals, and methods to achieve success.
