We have created an environment that encourages an uninterrupted flow of revolutionary concepts and unique ideas.Fisher Dynamics is currently seeking an Off-Line Welder (MIG WELDER/REPAIR WELDER) for our Harper Woods, MI facility. This position is responsible for the repair of weld defects produced by Automated Weld Robots, supporting production operators in meeting their production goals. The department is structured as a formal team, and requires the ability to work within the team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform various manual welding repairs as required to achieve production requirementsPerform various visual and/or manual activities to inspect or verify the accuracy of weldRecord repair counts, print labels and place on containersPerform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safeVarious other duties as required by the departmentQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ExperienceTwo – Three years MIG welding experienceSkillsMust have experience MIG Welding, and be able to pass a manual MIG Welding testAbility to follow established proceduresStrong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilityKnowledge of IATF16949 quality standards and ISO14001Knowledge of Mig WeldingKnowledge of AWSManual dexterity sufficient to operate a hand welder, pack, and/or grip and operate hand toolsCommunication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employeesComputer literacy skills include the ability to perform basic data entry and to operate visual 'touch screen' display panelsMath skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are requiredAbility to work effectively with peopleLicensureInternal Weld CertificationSafetySafety glasses are required. Other safety equipment required on an as needed basis.Work EnvironmentWorking environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment.Physical DemandsWorking environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment. Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant. The ability to lift 40 pounds is required.
