Nucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay-for-performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships and more.Basic Job Functions:Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Perform general office administration duties to include answering phones, processing paperwork, preparing and sending FedEx & UPS packages, ordering supplies and other similar dutiesCalculate payment amount, prepare and issue payment to commercial customers, ACH customers and third-party freight reconciliationQuote metal prices within a range supplied by management and/or verify correct pricingAssist with month-end closing documents and regular auditing of position related formsWilling to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as neededGreets and assists customers and visually inspects inbound material and verifies specific gradeNotifies the yard quality control inspector when material does not comply with specifications and seeks guidanceWeighs, purchases and calculates payment for all purchase materialsMinimum Qualifications:Two years' experience with general office duties (i.e., phones, customer service, ordering supplies)Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service and handling multiple projectsExcellent verbal and written communication, organization and time management skillsMeet attendance schedule with dependability, consistency and willing to work outside in all weather conditionsHigh School diploma or GED required; some college preferredPreferred Qualifications:Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferredNucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
