Senior Helpers Baltimore and Central MarylandThis is a weekend position. Paid training and orientation are provided. We have weekend opportunities across Baltimore County, Howard County, and Baltimore City, including day, evening, and overnight assignments.Whether you’re an experienced caregiver or beginning a career in home care, we’ll provide the training, support, and encouragement you need to succeed.AvailabilityApplicants for this position must be available to work weekends.DescriptionThis is an on-call position. You receive a $50 stipend for each weekend day that you sign up to work as well as your hourly rate for any shifts that you work. You must be available from 8am-10pm and must be willing to work any call-outs that are assigned to you. Applicants for this position must be able and willing to work in environments that may have pets and smoking.Available assignments include:Day shiftsShort and extended shiftsOngoing, consistent weekend assignmentsSpecific schedules will depend on client needs, caregiver qualifications, availability, and location.What you’ll doAs a Senior Helpers caregiver, you’ll help older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes by providing personalized care that may include:Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygieneHelping with walking, transfers, and mobilityPreparing meals and assisting with feeding when neededPerforming light housekeeping and laundryProviding medication remindersOffering companionship and meaningful conversationProviding transportation to appointments, errands, and community activitiesObserving and reporting changes in a client’s conditionCompleting simple visit documentationEvery client has unique needs, and you’ll have the support of our experienced office team every step of the way.What we’re looking forWe’re looking for caregivers who are:Consistently available weekendsCompassionate, patient, and attentiveDependable and punctualProfessional and respectfulStrong communicatorsPassionate about helping older adults remain safe, independent, and engagedQualificationsPrevious caregiving, CNA, GNA, or home care experience preferredAvailability to work during the dayValid driver’s license and reliable transportationAuthorization to work in the United StatesAbility to pass all required background screeningsCurrent TB screening or willingness to obtain oneCPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain itComfortable providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, and mobility assistanceWhy you’ll love working at Senior HelpersWe believe great caregivers deserve a workplace that respects their time, recognizes their contribution, and supports them when they need help.We offer:$16–$19 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsPaid orientation and trainingShort and extended shiftsConsistent scheduling based on availability and client needsOpportunities to pick up additional shifts during the weekOngoing education and professional developmentOpportunities for advancement into Lead Caregiver and office rolesSupportive office staff that knows you by nameA positive, team-oriented culture where caregivers are respected and appreciatedA higher standard of home careSenior Helpers is proud to be Maryland’s first and only CHAP Age-Friendly Care at Home Certified home care agency.
