On-Call / Float CNA or Experienced CaregiverPreferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable and experienced CNAs and Caregivers!This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and comfortable stepping in when coverage is needed throughout Huntsville and surrounding areas.Interview from home: Self-schedule your interview. All interviews are conducted remotely via Zoom.$50 flat rate for each on-call shiftOn-call hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, Monday–SundayIf called to work a client shift, you receive your regular base hourly pay in addition to the $50 on-call rateSame-day pay option available after your first shiftResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate, hands-on care in clients' homesAssist with personal care and activities of daily livingProvide mobility and transfer assistanceFollow client care plans and preferencesStep in for open or short-notice assignmentsCommunicate professionally with clients, families, and office staffAdapt to different clients, homes, and care needsQualifications2+ years of caregiving experience OR active CNA certificationReliable personal transportation and willingness to travel throughout Huntsville and surrounding areasComfortable working in homes with petsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsDependable and flexibleComfortable completing a background screeningMust be available for the agreed schedule 8:00 AM–8:00 PM on-call scheduleHands-On Experience RequiredCandidates must be comfortable and experienced with personal care and mobility assistance, including:Wheelchair and Hoyer lift transfersGait belt and Barton chair useTotal/bedbound careCatheter careOther hands-on personal care needsMust be able to assist with mobility, lift over 50+ lbs., and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.Benefits for Full-Time Employees (32-40 hours a week)Health, dental, and vision insurance- after 90 days401(k) after 1 yearSame-day pay option- after first shiftVitable Health benefit- after 30 daysAbout UsPreferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is part of a nationally recognized senior care organization dedicated to helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
