Job description

Apply oncology and hematology expertise to evaluate clinical content that helps train advanced healthcare AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on rigorous clinical reasoning, safety and efficacy assessment, and clear written explanations for non-clinical audiences. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities Author and review evaluation tasks requiring nuanced clinical judgment, using Clinical Study Reports, periodic safety reports, and regulatory correspondence.

Assess whether efficacy and safety conclusions are clinically defensible, including endpoint selection, effect sizes, and clinical significance.

Evaluate dose escalation, dose-limiting toxicities, dose modifications, adverse-event grading and attribution, and the consistency of patient narratives.

Review benefit-risk reasoning, including whether conclusions remain durable as new events arise and whether management strategies are realistic.

Identify clinically implausible or internally inconsistent content while distinguishing it from legitimate clinical variation.

Provide structured, guideline-based rationales that explain the validity and limitations of clinical interpretations for non-clinical readers.

Qualifications Specialist registration or board certification in medical oncology and/or hematology, with 5+ years of post-training clinical experience.

Direct clinical-trial involvement as an investigator, sub-investigator, sponsor-side medical monitor, safety physician, or clinical development physician.

Expertise in clinical oncology, clinical hematology, clinical-trial evaluation, dose-escalation assessment, adverse-event grading and attribution, and benefit-risk analysis.

Proficiency with CTCAE grading; RECIST, Lugano, IMWG, IWCLL, and ELN response criteria; and ORR, DoR, PFS, OS, and MRD endpoints.

Hands-on experience reviewing protocols, investigator brochures, Clinical Study Reports, safety narratives, and DSMB/IDMC materials.

Strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking, problem identification and resolution, attention to detail, and structured written communication.

Ability to explain complex clinical information clearly to non-clinical audiences and document assessments using guideline-based approaches.

Preferred experience in medical monitoring or medical director roles for oncology or hematology programs, including participation in IDMC, DSMB, adjudication, or independent review committees.

Peer-reviewed publications or clinical-trial manuscript authorship are preferred, as is exposure to AI-assisted clinical work.

Work Terms Remote contract engagement.

Compensation $160 to $200 per hour.
