Locums - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Medical Oncology Opening (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical Role
Coverage needed November 1, 2026-July 31, 2027MD/DO positionPreferred commitment: 13 weeksHospital-based outpatient Medical Oncology clinic and infusion centerApproximately 85% Oncology and 15% HematologyNew patient consultations and follow-up careInpatient rounding independently and with the APP teamApproximately 8 patients per day on the primary caseloadApproximately 2 inpatient rounding patients per day Schedule & Call
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pmWeekday day-shift coverageSecond call every third weekend Practice Setting & Case Mix
13-chair onsite infusion centerMalignancies include breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, gynecologic, head and neck, melanoma, and other skin cancersTreatment oversight includes IV and oral chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, and clinical trialsChemotherapy supervision and ordersManagement of oncologic emergenciesParticipation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews Support & Systems
Support from 3 physicians and 2 APPsOncology pharmacist, nurse navigator, and oncology RNOnsite Radiation Therapy and infusion servicesPalliative care supportPhysician may supervise APPsEpic and AriaOnline EMR modules or required pre-employment training must be completed before the first day Requirements & Credentialing
Board Certified in Medical Oncology requiredActive Wisconsin license required; IMLC acceptedClient is not willing to licenseBLS requiredONS chemotherapy certification requiredBone marrow biopsy certification required1-3 years of experience required What's great about Fond du Lac, Wisconsin?
