This is a 109-bed, general acute care community hospital that recently earned an 'A' for safety from Leapfrog, serving as a regional health care resource for approximately 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. The facility is part of the most comprehensive, integrated health care system in Connecticut, which includes a Cancer Institute that serves as the charter member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, offering MSK clinical trials, phase 1 studies, and active collaboration with MSK faculty.
Opportunity:
Physician - Medical Subspecialties - Medical Oncology
Job Details:
Provide comprehensive medical oncology services within a multi-disciplinary cancer care delivery model
Participate in clinical trials as a principal investigator, including access to MSK clinical trials and phase 1 studies
Collaborate with Disease Management Teams (DMT) bringing together medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists with pathology, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health cancer professionals
Engage in active collaboration with MSK faculty through GI DMT, cancer conferences, and research activities
Contribute to quality metrics, clinical research, and innovation through implementation science
Practice within a progressive, physician-led environment alongside nationally respected colleagues
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology required
Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Connecticut
