Psych Mental Health NP – Online Adjunct Faculty
SAU’s Online Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program is growing, and we are currently accepting applications for Adjunct PMHNP Faculty positions. We are looking to expand our team with dedicated PMHNPs who are passionate about sharing their background and experience with our students.

SAU’s Online Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program is growing, and we are currently accepting applications for Adjunct PMHNP Faculty positions. We are looking to expand our team with dedicated PMHNPs who are passionate about sharing their background and experience with our students.
We are currently accepting applications from PMHNP licensed to practice in the following states: Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.
When required by State Boards of Nursing, applicants must also be prepared to secure an active, unencumbered RN and APRN license in the State of Michigan before any employment offer.

Experienced nurse practitioners bridge the gap between theory and practice by educating and mentoring MSN and Post-Master’s Certificate (PMC) students in a supportive, close-knit learning environment. Our Nursing Faculty brings coursework to life through both online instruction and psych clinical rotations. The online classroom, whether via Zoom or the Brightspace Learning Management System, serves as a vital space for connection and engagement. To ensure each student’s success, faculty maintain open communication, often reaching out proactively to provide guidance and support.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
DNP or Ph.D. preferred. Master of Science in Nursing.
Holds a current and unencumbered licensure in one of the 50 states (MN, NE, ND, OK, SD, WA, Washington DC, and Wisconsin is preferred) as a Registered Nurse and as a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
At least one year of experience as a certified FNP in a primary care clinical setting.
Prior instructional and precepting experience with graduate-level students is strongly preferred
Comfortable with the online environment, including but not limited to the Brightspace Learning Management system (preferred), ZOOM, iHuman, etc.
Experience working in multicultural academic environments is preferred, and individuals from diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
