Overview
The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks a tenure‑eligible or tenured faculty member for its Memory Disorder Program. The incumbent will devote the majority of effort to clinical responsibilities in the cognitive and behavioral neurologic clinic, the anti‑amyloid therapy program, the memory and aging care clinic, and associated teaching activities. The incumbent will also dedicate effort to contributing to, and expanding, an active clinical trials research program in dementia. Applicants with an interest in establishing or sustaining an independent extramurally funded research program will also be strongly considered. Rank and tenure status depend on qualifications, experience, and scholarly achievement.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care in cognitive and behavioral neurology, anti‑amyloid therapy, and memory/aging clinics.
Teach and mentor students and trainees in the Department.
Develop and conduct clinical trials and research studies in dementia and related disorders.
Establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program.
Qualifications
MD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neurology at the time of hire.
Specialized fellowship training in a related field preferred.
Evidence of academic productivity and research potential.
