Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Experience:

• 4 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• High School completion required.

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience: Ortho, Neuro, and Spine skills are required. Ortho/Neuro/Spine crani cases are required for call. Must be comfortable with complex spine and neuro cases and in totals.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI is not required but is a bonus.

Required Credentials: Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program is required.

Special Requests: The traveler must have their own vehicle and cannot rely on Uber/Lyft due to on-call responsibilities.

Unit Details: Work includes efficiently setting up operative suites, checking case carts to ensure supplies are available, scrubbing surgical cases across a variety of specialties, and turning over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day. The OR includes all specialties and averages 40-60 cases per day. The role may include downtime tasks and helping teach new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: Variable day schedule. Weekends are for call only. Holidays are required as needed. On-call: 6-8 weeknights and 1-2 weekends during the 13-week contract; the traveler must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes. Travelers may be placed on call during low-census hours.

Floating Requirements: May be required to float to Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford, or Stanley if needed.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
