Job description
Operating Room TechnicianOperating Room Technician needed for a 13-week temp-to-perm assignment in the west of Albuquerque. Responsible for preparing ORs, supporting surgical teams, and maintaining sterile environments.Key Responsibilities:Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for proceduresAssist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after proceduresMaintain sterile technique and follow infection-control proceduresAnticipate the needs of the surgical team during proceduresPerform surgical counts and maintain accurate operating room protocolsAssist with room turnover and ensure the OR remains clean and properly stockedCommunicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionalsMaintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced operating room environmentParticipate in on-call responsibilities as requiredQualifications:Current CPR certification requiredCompletion of an Operating Room Technician course desiredCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is desirable but not requiredMust be able to assume on-call duty with a 15-minute response timeframe from the hospitalStrong interpersonal skills and ability to manage demands and stress of OR environmentPreferred Skills:Previous OR Tech, Surgical Tech, or operating room experience preferredBenefits:13-week contract with potential for permanent employmentWeekly compensation up to $1,800 based on experienceGain valuable hospital and surgical services experienceDedicated support from the organization
