Summary

About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Responsibilities

Implement corrective actions to ensure mission deadlines are met and work is completed.

Analyze the benefits and costs of accomplishing work in-house in lieu outsourcing with contracting.

Recommend corrective actions within the facility environment.

Provide management estimates and cost figures on materials for repairs, minor construction, maintenance and labor for projects.

Oversee the use of labor and materials on a day to day basis to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Operations and Maintenance Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Operations and Maintenance Supervisor duties including 1) track maintenance work orders to support timely response; 2) monitor cost reports to identify issues affecting operational efficiency; AND 3) review completed maintenance tasks to ensure they meet required standards. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading) Ability To Lead or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments
