Operations AssistantPurpose Preparatory Academy Charter School is an academically challenging, disciplined, and joyful elementary school in Nashville, TN. The Operations Assistant plays an important role in providing support to the many systems and procedures that have been put in place at Purpose Prep. We will consider candidates who:Embody Purpose Prep's mission, vision, and RISE with Purpose values (Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Self-Determination, Excellence)Believe that there is not a more urgent task than providing an outstanding academic and character education to students from urban backgroundsExtremely hard workingWork well within a team of high-performersAble to work in an extremely fast paced environmentLooks for opportunities to improve a process or procedureGoal-driven, analytical problem solvers, and embody a can-do spirit and strong work ethicPromote continuous improvement by being open to feedback; are self-reflective and humbleCommunicates in a thoughtful, calm, knowledgeable, and professional mannerWillingness to actively participate in school community activitiesResponsibilitiesNutritionResponsible for the daily set-up and distribution of all student meals including breakfast & lunch distributionAssists with daily meal delivery and product organizationAssists teachers with distributing and collecting of school data for student meal trackers on DeansListDaily School Operations/Facility MaintenanceMonitors Slack messaging system to provide support needed throughout schoolAssists with any school spills or accidents when the day porter is occupied with other cleanupsAssists with scholar injury/illness if nurse is not onsiteExecutes daily student meal service: breakfast & lunchServe as bus monitorSupports with arrival and dismissal of students when not monitoring the busSupport curriculum distributionSupport with technology set up and troubleshooting (all printers and staff machines)Support with printing Clever badges for scholars as neededAbility to comfortably lift 25 – 50 poundsChange ceiling tiles and fluorescent lights throughout the facility as neededParticipate in at least one community event and one family fun day each school yearSupports Head of School, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor and other staff members in operational dutiesCompletes other responsibilities as requested by the Head of School, Operations Manager & Operations SupervisorCollaborate with Operations Manager/Supervisor and Director of Public Engagement & Strategic Affairs to coordinate implementation of COVID-19 policies, procedures, and decisionsHelp support schoolwide COVID-19 strategy implementation; involves management of inventory supply, on site nurse, data gathering, etc.COVID-19 testing - identifying testing vendors, coordinating test bulk orders, manages staff and student testing, proper test disposal, test results recording, testing communication (Slack)Universal masking policy review and inputSchool Inventory SupportInventory supply needs weekly on Monday.comSupport Operations Supervisor with supply ordering and inventory needsSupport with distribution of testing materialsProfessionalismCommunicate effectively with students, families, and colleaguesCollaborate with other staff members and actively participate in training, professional development and learning activitiesWork to continuously improve effectiveness in all instructional practicesUse feedback to make productive changes in performanceComplete all administrative requirements by given deadlinesCompensationWe offer a competitive compensation package with comprehensive health benefits and top tier retirement package.
