nAbout the Role

nAs an Operations Associate specializing in grain and agronomy operations, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of grain, as well as supporting agronomy services. Your responsibilities will include operating equipment, maintaining facilities, assisting with inventory management, and providing excellent service to our farmer-owners and customers. This role will be traveling to locations to support operations and maintain housekeeping duties.

nWhat will you do?

nnnAssist in all aspects of elevator operations.

n

nnReceive, dry, and unload grain.

n

nnMeasure grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basis.

n

nnAssist in grain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing cars.

n

nnIf applicable to location, operate a train locomotive & obtain a training certificate on locomotive operations.

n

nnMaintain grain conditions by testing temperatures and blending.

n

nnAssist in all aspects of the fertilizer and chemical operations.

n

nnMeasure inventory and report it to the supervisor.

n

nnUnload bulk and packaged products and pump bulk chemicals into customer tanks.

n

nnTender to applicators.

n

nnFill NH3 nurse tanks during the season.

n

nnUnderstand basic agronomy chemistry of all products.

n

nnPerform equipment and facility maintenance including housekeeping records and cleanliness.

n

nnProvide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service.

n

n nRequirements

nnnAbility to safely operate equipment and perform physical, hands-on work

n

nnWillingness to travel between locations to support operations and housekeeping

n

nnBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with equipment and facility maintenance

n

nnComfort working in outdoor and seasonal conditions

n

nnAbility to follow safety procedures and SOPs

n

nnStrong focus on customer service and teamwork

n

nnWillingness to obtain required training and certifications (e.g., locomotive, NH3)

n

n nLicenses:Must have a Class A CDL with applicable endorsements or be able to obtain one, if applicable to the location. This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in the company’s vehicle safety policy. Failure to meet these qualifications could result in removal from this position.
