Job Description Job Description Operations & Engineering
• Analyze manufacturing performance, labor utilization, productivity, overtime, rework, and other operating metrics.
• Investigate operational problems and help identify root causes and practical solutions.
• Work with plant leadership on process improvement, workflow, productivity, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, reports, and other management tools.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning how OMi's overhead cranes are designed, fabricated, assembled, installed, and serviced.
• Assist with technical, manufacturing, vendor, equipment, and process-related projects as needed.
CEO & Executive Support
• Work directly with the CEO to organize priorities, projects, commitments, and follow-up items.
• Prepare concise background information and summaries before important meetings and decisions.
• Research technical, regulatory, operational, competitive, customer, vendor, and general business questions.
• Gather information from different departments so the CEO can make decisions without personally coordinating every detail.
• Help prepare agendas and materials for management meetings and track decisions and action items afterward.
• Follow up with project owners and department leaders on commitments, deadlines, and outstanding items.
• Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, document organization, travel planning, and other administrative needs when appropriate.
• Help manage incoming requests and determine what requires the CEO's involvement versus what can be handled by someone else.
Projects & Business Improvement
• Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Finance, HR, and other departments.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, software, equipment, vendors, and business opportunities.
• Assist with capital projects, facility improvements, branch initiatives, and other company priorities.
• Help improve internal processes and create repeatable systems for recurring activities.
• Identify potential delays, problems, or missing information before they become urgent.
