Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000
Bonus: 15%
Position Summary
The Operations Manager manages and coordinates the warehouse, logistics, and operational systems infrastructure of Om Produce under limited supervision. This role is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, preparing financial and operational analyses and reports, and auditing current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations. The Operations Manager achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolving problems. This role serves as the day-to-day site leader and the designated on-site SQF practitioner responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the SQF food safety program.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Systems
Oversee daily warehouse operations and its various components, ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations
Develop warehouse operations systems including product handling, storage requirements, receiving processes, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
Develop warehouse layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluate and recommend new equipment
Analyze process workflow, manning, and space requirements and equipment layout; implement operational improvements
Evaluate the accuracy of system inventory by comparing stock status to physical counts
Minimize shrinkage and spoilage through FIFO enforcement and inventory control practices
Implement cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions, adjustments, and returns
People Management & Development
Oversee the supervision of warehouse personnel including work allocation, training, and problem resolution
Evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity
Develop Team Leaders and Supervisors to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned teams
Supervise quality of work for all employees to ensure tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
Ensure seamless on-site shift transitions between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift supervisors
Participate in and coordinate the design and implementation of data collection and analysis systems
Food Safety & Quality Compliance
Serve as the designated on-site SQF practitioner responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the SQF program
Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures as referenced by OSHA, PrimusGFS/CGMPs, quality, food safety, and food defense programs
Ensure products are kept at proper temperatures and stored correctly to comply with food safety and quality standards
Develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with organizational standards to ensure efficient and safe warehousing operations
Facilities & Maintenance
Oversee building and grounds maintenance, custodial functions, and security and emergency preparedness procedures
Ensure the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
Manage and review service contracts; schedule and oversee service from vendors and contractors
Conduct and document regular facilities inspections; check and document completed work by vendors and contractors
Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications as needed
Communicate workplace safety precautions to employees and enforce safe operating standards at all times
Prepare financial and operational analyses and reports for leadership as requested
Audit current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations on an ongoing basis
Monitor and report on production KPIs including receiving, shipping, order processing, repacking, and equipment and facilities maintenance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all warehouse departments to reduce costs, increase throughput, and improve service quality
Improve manpower utilization within operations by refining processes and eliminating inefficiencies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Purchasing to align receiving schedules with inbound product flow and inventory needs
Collaborate with Transportation to ensure trucks are loaded, staged, and dispatched on schedule
Work with Sales and Customer Service to address order accuracy issues and ensure fulfillment meets customer expectations
Support new product introductions, seasonal planning, and special projects as directed by leadership
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred, not required
5-8 years of progressive warehouse or distribution management experience, with a minimum of 3 years (5 preferred) in a management role
Deep experience in food distribution, fresh produce, or perishable goods warehousing required
Experience as an SQF Practitioner or with HACCP, PrimusGFS, or equivalent food safety programs strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of OSHA, warehouse safety regulations, and inventory management systems
Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred) and warehouse management technology
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams across multiple shifts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
High attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Physical & Work Environment
On-site role based in Doral, Florida with regular presence throughout the warehouse, dock, and office areas
Must be able to work in cold/refrigerated warehouse environments
Flexible availability required including early morning, overnight, and weekend coverage as business needs demand
May be asked to travel to other out-of-state locations and future sites as business needs require
