Job description
About The Role
The Operations Manager keeps the technical organization running by improving the systems, processes, and planning mechanisms that support product, engineering, IT, and customer-facing teams. The role owns operational rhythms across project intake, resource planning, tooling, and documentation and performance reporting.
You will turn ambiguous cross-functional needs into clear plans, measurable workflows, and reliable execution. This role matters because strong operating discipline helps technical teams ship predictably, resolve dependencies quickly, and scale without adding unnecessary complexity.
Key Responsibilities
Own cross-functional operating processes, including project intake, prioritization, roadmap tracking, and quarterly planning
Coordinate technical programs across engineering, product, IT, security, and support, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions in Jira, Linear, or equivalent tools
Build and maintain dashboards for delivery health, operational KPIs, incident trends, capacity, and SLA performance using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Google Sheets
Identify bottlenecks in technical and business workflows, lead root-cause analysis, and implement process improvements with measurable outcomes
Manage the administration, adoption, and documentation of operational tools including Jira, Confluence, Notion, Slack, and SaaS management platforms
Establish standard operating procedures, runbooks, and decision logs that improve handoffs, auditability, and team consistency
Prepare concise operating reviews for leadership, surfacing execution risks, resource constraints, and recommended actions
What We Are Looking For
3-8 years of experience in operations, technical program management, project management, or a similar cross-functional role within a technology organization
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives involving engineering, product, IT, security, or other technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and process-design skills, with hands-on experience using spreadsheets, SQL, BI dashboards, or comparable reporting tools
Proficiency with project and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Linear, Asana, Confluence, Notion, Slack, or equivalent systems
Track record of delivering process improvements that produced measurable gains in cycle time, visibility, quality, cost, or team efficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convert complex technical issues into clear decisions and action plans
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, information systems, engineering, or a related field; Bonus: experience with cloud infrastructure, incident management, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 workflows, SQL, and SaaS vendor management
