Operations SpecialistSalary Range $29.00 - $31.50 HourlyDescriptionIndependent Financial Group (IFG) is seeking a client-focused Operations Specialist to support financial advisors with account openings, transfers, updates, and asset movement requests. IFG is an eight-time honoree on the Inc. 5000 list of "Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the US," and the San Diego Business Journal ranked IFG #7 among the Largest Private Companies in San Diego in 2022 and 2023.Job Duties:Develop proficiency in all Operations processes and assist with daily processing to ensure service levels are consistently met.Adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a strong understanding of compliance practices.Deliver exceptional service to IFG investment professionals and their staff by addressing client account inquiries and providing training support.Build and maintain positive relationships with advisors, their staff, and internal departments, grounded in trust and respect.Communicate clearly and professionally in all phone and email interactions.Partner with our Pershing/BNY service team to research and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and ExperiencePrior experience in the financial services industry preferred.SIE or Series 7 license, or willingness to obtain required licensing.Key AttributesStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence.Desired SkillsHigh attention to detail with a focus on process consistency and precision.Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proactive problem-solving mindset with a dedication to supporting advisors and clients.CompensationIFG offers a competitive benefits package, including a free on-site fitness center, company-paid medical insurance, company-paid life and long-term disability (LTD) coverage, 401(k) matching, and market-competitive compensation based on experience.
