Operations Supervisor For RT WeldingThe Operations Supervisor for RT Welding must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and quality of functionsRequires ability to effectively organize and assign work to hourly employees such that safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are metDemonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, improve work order span times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide qualityMust have knowledge of safe work practices; ability to comprehend and follow and issue verbal and/or written instructions; willing to work as necessary to support production needsMust be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates and supervisorsMust have the ability to set, assign, and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor and motivate crewSuccessful applicants will be placed in a department and shift based on business needsThis position is to support 2nd shift.This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.QualificationsRequired:Minimum of 1 year related Electric Boat welding experienceMinimum of 3 year combined relevant welding experience and leadership experience in a construction settingMinimum of 1 year EB experience and an Engineering degree in a related fieldMust be available to work all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictateMust possess strong PC skills including proficiency with the MS Office suiteMust be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defensePreferred:Minimum of 3 years in RT weldingRT/UT welding experienceVocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programsMDU graduatePrevious supervisory/leadership experiencePrior NDT experienceExperience with ATA, EWP and AWPSSNavy/military experienceSkillsGood organizational, presentation and communication skillsAbility to interact with various levels of employees in the organizationDemonstrated leadership skillsPhysical QualificationsClimbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, TwistingEnvironmental AttributesCold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise
