Job description
Production OperatorResponsible for all aspects of producing Aluminum Polymer Coated Magnet Wire safely and efficiently including staging, set up, testing, packaging, documentation and the integrity of the equipment and infrastructure used in the process.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollow Production Orders, ISO Work Instructions, Safe Work Instructions and other production documentsPerform routine preventative machine maintenanceSelect and stage proper supplies and feed stock; string up machines; set machine and controls for proper operationContinuously monitor production to assure product meets specificationsMaintain optimal efficiency and productivity and minimal scrapPerform start-up and periodic quality testingRepair insulation as neededMaintain safe machine operationMaintain production recordsWeigh, package, label, palletize and stage product for distributionSafely load and unload raw materials and finished goodsMaintain high level of housekeeping and maintenance throughout facilityQualifications Required:High school diploma or GEDKnowledge of safety, distribution and manufacturing best practicesSkill in handling and prioritizing multiple tasks safely and efficientlyMust have a high level of mechanical aptitude and experience in the use of basic hand tools and measuring devicesQualifications Desired:Fork Lift CertifiedPhysical Demand:The physical demands and characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
