Bilingual Healthcare Call Center AssociateBusy multi location Ophthalmology practice in East Hartford, CT, looking for Bilingual Healthcare Call Center Associate to join our team. The call center associate is a liaison between our company and its current and potential patients. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving patient issues, complaints, and inquiries, keeping patient satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior. Provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing large amounts of inbound calls in a timely mannerRoute calls to appropriate resourcesIdentify patient needs and clarify information providedResearch issues and provide solutions and/or alternativesEnter patient information into EMR; obtain and verify patient demographicsUpdate existing patient informationScan documentation into the patient's electronic chartSchedule appointmentsVerify insurance benefits and co-paymentsRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to handle call volume with grace and a friendly customer service attitudeWillingness to learn new skills within 6-month periodAvailable to work Monday through Friday, as well as occasional SaturdaysExcellent data entry and typing skillsSuperb customer service skillsExcellent active listening, problem solving, verbal & written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAdaptability to differing personality typesAbility to multi-task, manage time effectively and prioritize tasksDedication to teamwork and maintaining confidentialityBilingual (Spanish) reading, writing, and speaking skills are requiredOphthalmology experience preferred but not requiredHigh School diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAbility to lift 15 pounds at a time
