Responsibilities
Immediate volume of 45 clinic patients per day and 300–400 cataract surgeries in the first year, with growth expected in subsequent years. Surgical volume includes cataract, YAG, LPI, and SLT procedures, with opportunities to develop full glaucoma or cornea service. Additional unmet patient demand for cornea and/or glaucoma fellowship‑trained candidates. Clinic with 10 exam rooms; equipment includes iTrace, Zeiss OCT, Argos biometer, LAL IOL Delivery Device, Humphrey VF Analyzer, and autorefractor. Fully equipped for premium IOLS. Highly experienced tech pool with scribe. Highly efficient ASC in the same building as clinic. Single physician can perform up to 25–30 cases per day. ORA Wavetec and 5 pre/post‑op Trans‑Motion gurneys allow efficient turnover times. 1 in 3 (potentially 1 in 4) shared call schedule covering each other’s patients – no hospital or ER call
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist
Active Maine state licensure, pending, or willing to obtain upon employment
