A $100M, 165,000 sq. ft. standalone Eye Institute is opening in 2026 in Winston Salem s Innovation Quarter.
The four story facility will house all eye services, surgical suites, research, and clinical trials supporting 100,000+ patient visits annually.
Highlights
Full time academic surgical glaucoma position
Primarily outpatient clinical and surgical practice
Weekday schedule with shared call
Full spectrum glaucoma procedures including MIGS and complex surgery
Strong support: ophthalmic techs, orthoptists, admin staff, research coordinators
Significant involvement in resident, fellow, and medical student education
Four residents per year
Approved fellowships in Cornea, Retina-Vitreous, Glaucoma, and Pediatrics

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
MD, DO or MD-DO/PhD
Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology
Completion of fellowship training in medical and surgical glaucoma
North Carolina unrestricted medical licensure or eligible
