Job description
Warehouse Operations ClerkPerform daily tasks associated with Receiving Duties & Functions, Inventory Control and Ops Clerks functions within the warehouse operations. This position may include but not limited to: Back-Up and Support functions in Whse Operations (Clerks) and Customer Service as needed.Essential Functions:Record of receipts verified against BOL, processedAppointment schedules verified, printed and open POs identified, communicatedAssist Operations Clerk as neededEnd of day email and reports sent to staff, including case count by concept reportDaily Transfer(s) Shipping ControlChecking the yard daily to monitor drop trailer temperatures and fuel levelsAnswering calls to take in new appointments from carriers/Vendors and scheduling them on the systemPerformance Categories:Productivity/quality standards: accuracy, timeliness, thoroughnessCustomer and vendor relationsCustomer satisfactionCommunicationProfessional attitude and demeanorOrganization and attention to detailTeamwork within the department and across departmentsProject/assignment standardsMinimum Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or equivalentExperience:2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse/transportation environmentKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Relevant department concepts, procedures, and regulations (B)Prior inventory control clerk experienceWarehouse operational clerk experienceWarehouse receiver clerk experienceCustomer service concepts and techniques (B)Basic office equipment and machinery (PCs, copiers, fax machines, adding machines, calculators, etc.) (B)Filing and record-keeping procedures and systems (B)General warehouse/transportation operations (B)DOT regulations, policies, and procedures (B)PC word processing/spreadsheet software (B)Skill and ability to:Identify problems or irregularities for early resolutionProficient in ExcelJDE/JDA System, Open DockEffective communication verbally and writtenAbility to operate warehouse equipment (Certified)Work within warehouse environmentLift heavy cases (50lbs)Work in freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environmentCommunicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writingRead and process written information with a high degree of accuracyPrepare a variety of administrative documents and reportsWork effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer serviceAct in accordance with GSF's Values and Creed
