Job description
OPS NUTRITION EDUCATOR -
The incumbent is expected to promote cooperation, courtesy, and teamwork, in a diverse environment and as an employee of the FDOH Marion County, represents the agency and its mission and values while acknowledging that all information held in health records is confidential, with access governed by the state and federal laws. Maintains current knowledge of the Federal WIC program regulations including WIC memos, WIC FL-WiSE clinic manual and the FL WIC Manual DHM 150-24.
Telephone: Answering multi-line phone and inputting information into the FL-WISE computer system. Transferring phone calls to multiple locations and recipients. Responsible for triaging calls to program staff for proper and timely handling. Assists callers and clients with program questions, appointments scheduling and informing them what they may need to bring at their upcoming appointment.
Qualifications: Minimum- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university Valid Driver License Willing to travel to clinics using your own vehicle Preferred- Experience completing nutrition counseling, assessments and writing nutrition care plans Bilingual Experience working the WIC program
