Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. The position requires a large portion of your time in the field performing tasks as assigned around the entire mine and outlying areas.Position ResponsibilitiesAs an operations support pipefitter you will be working in the field performing the duties listed.Lay OutFabricationAssembleInstall and maintain pipe systemsPipe supportRelated Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipmentOperate heavy equipment as neededBoom truckFundamentals of SafetyAcid safety trainingLOTOTO (Lock Out-Tag Out-Test Out)Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Ability to walk up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity.Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop and squat, including in confined spaces.Position RequirementsKnowledge of open pit mining preferred.Prior experience in copper operation strongly preferred.To support and collaborate with others.Ability to speak, comprehend, read and write English.All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check. All positions require a pre-placement physical examination to ensure candidates are 'fit for duty'. Additional training and/or testing may be required.
