Job Opportunity: Optometrist (OD) – Cary, NC
Location: Cary, North Carolina
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)
Compensation: $190,000 Base Salary OR 16% of Revenue (Whichever is Higher)
Additional Incentives: Sign-On Bonus and/or Retention Bonus Available
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Optometrist to join our premier eye care practice in Cary, NC. This position offers a highly competitive compensation structure and a true work-life balance with a standard Monday through Friday schedule—no required weekends or late nights.
Whether you are an experienced Doctor of Optometry or a talented new graduate, this role provides an excellent clinical environment, state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, and strong administrative and tech support.
Compensation & Benefits
Guaranteed Base Salary: $190,000 / year
Production Bonus: 16% of revenue (paid out if higher than base)
Sign-On & Retention: Generous sign-on bonus and/or retention bonus options available for qualifying candidates
Schedule: Standard M–F business hours for optimal work-life balance

Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye exams, vision testing, and contact lens fittings.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and disorders (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy).
Co-manage pre- and post-operative care with local ophthalmology partners.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding eye health, preventative care, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with an experienced support team of technicians and opticians.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry.
Active (or eligible) license to practice optometry in the state of North Carolina.
Strong diagnostic skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
