This is a great opportunity to provide personalized eye care, build lasting patient relationships, and grow with an established team dedicated to helping patients see and feel their best.

Why join us?

Founded in 1989, City Eyeworks Optometry is a well-established San Francisco practice dedicated to providing excellent primary eye care while helping patients find solutions for the visual demands of their work, lifestyle, and recreational activities. With a close-knit team of seven employees, the practice offers primary eye care, contact lens services, and optical care in a welcoming environment that emphasizes both advanced imaging technology and meaningful personal connection. In addition to delivering quality vision care, the team is committed to educating patients about their eye health and overall well-being, creating a thoughtful and personalized experience for every individual who walks through the door.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Optometrist, you’ll provide comprehensive primary eye care and contact lens exams while supporting patients through each step of their visit, from understanding their visual needs to helping begin frame selections when needed. This role offers a flexible schedule ranging from eight to 40 hours per week, with associate doctors typically seeing about ten full exams and two follow-up visits per day. You’ll work closely with the optical and administrative teams to create a smooth, welcoming experience, educate patients on their eye health, recommend personalized vision solutions, and contribute to the practice’s commitment to high-quality, relationship-focused care.

Who You Are

You’re a licensed Optometrist in California with the required liability insurance and ability to complete VSP credentialing. In addition to strong clinical competency, you bring a patient-centered approach to care, with excellent communication skills and a genuine focus on building trusted relationships. You’re someone who values educating patients, understanding their unique vision needs, and creating a positive experience that makes them feel supported throughout their visit.
