Dawn M Miller, OD Optometrist Position
At Dawn M Miller, OD, practice in Garden Grove, California, you'll have the unique opportunity to enhance and protect patients' vision while making a meaningful impact every day. The practice is seeking a like minded, patient focused optometrist for a part time associate position with the intention of a gradual transition and potential buyout within 1–2 years. In the short term, temporary coverage will be needed for approximately four weeks during a planned medical leave, followed by an ongoing part time schedule. While benefits are not included, compensation is flexible, with openness to a negotiable production bonus, making this an ideal opportunity for an OD interested in continuity of care, long term growth, and future ownership.

As an Associate Optometrist at this thriving, community‑focused practice, you'll enjoy a rewarding and engaging workday providing high‑quality care to a diverse patient population, from children receiving routine eye exams to seniors managing age‑related vision changes and patients needing specialized care. You'll practice with advanced technology, including a Topcon automated phoropter system with autorefractor, topographer, and autolensometer, Optomap imaging, MMD Virtual Reality Headset visual fields, and Eyefinity Encompass EHR, enabling thorough exams and precise diagnoses. Responsibilities include seeing patients, charting in Eyefinity Encompass, assisting with select eyeglass and contact lens patient interactions, and providing direction to support staff on scheduled office days. This part‑time position for approximately 16 hours per week offers a manageable patient load of 10–15 patients per day, allowing time for personalized care and meaningful patient connections.
The ideal candidate brings strong contact lens knowledge along with excellent communication and people skills and has experience in glaucoma management and surgical co‑management. Comfort working with toric, RGP, and multifocal contact lenses is essential, along with a commitment to delivering personalized, high‑quality care. This role is well suited for a passionate optometry professional dedicated to enhancing community vision health, managing diverse patient needs, and staying current with advancements in the field. Minimum Qualifications:
Optometry license in the state of California
