Job description
Join a thriving ophthalmology practice in Arlington, Texas, looking to add an optometrist. The position is 4-5 days per week with no weekend work, offering a competitive salary, revenue-based bonuses, extensive benefits, and coverage of licensure and malpractice fees. The practice specializes in anterior segment surgeries, including cataract and refractive procedures, and provides a collaborative, modern environment for learning the surgical side of eye care. The optometrist will work alongside cataract, refractive, corneal, and oculoplastic surgeons and will practice to the highest medical standard, including comprehensive medical eye exams, management of ocular conditions, and active participation in pre- and post-operative care.
Responsibilities
Provide primary, medical, and peri-operative care including examinations for glasses and contacts
Conduct pre- and post-surgical examinations
Perform medical evaluations and manage chronic ocular conditions
Provide full-scope optometry including routine eye exams
Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
Diagnose ocular defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma
