Job description
Seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong Database Migration Services (DMS) expertise to administer enterprise Oracle databases and lead database migration initiatives. The role will focus on Oracle administration, migration planning and execution, performance tuning, high availability, and cloud database modernization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM , and database performance tuning.
Plan and execute migrations using Oracle DMS, GoldenGate, Data Pump, and RMAN .
Assess source/target environments, develop migration strategies, and lead cutover activities.
Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure data integrity with minimal downtime.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Develop migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and technical documentation.
Support critical production environments and database modernization initiatives.
Required Skills
8+ years of Oracle DBA experience
Oracle Database Administration
Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM
Oracle Database Migration Service (DMS)
Oracle GoldenGate
OCI / Exadata / ExaCC
Database migration and modernization
SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, automation
Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Zero/minimal-downtime migration strategies
Preferred Skills
OCI certification
Cross-platform Oracle database migrations
AWS RDS for Oracle or Azure Oracle workloads
Cloud database modernization experience
