In this specialized ERP consulting and financial systems role, you will spearhead configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle EBS Financials modules (AP, AR, GL, FA), Procurement, and Projects. You will work closely with cross-functional finance teams, database administrators, and technical developers to design custom extensions, write optimized SQL and PL/SQL scripts, and build robust reports using BI Publisher and OAF. Detailed Job Description:
As an Oracle EBS Finance Consultant at Sapsol in Sacramento, CA, you will take full ownership of implementing, supporting, and optimizing core financial and procurement modules within enterprise Oracle E-Business Suite environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass configuring General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Procurement, and Project modules to meet complex business accounting requirements. You will design and develop custom database extensions, packages, and procedures using SQL and PL/SQL, build customized Oracle Forms and Reports, configure Oracle Application Framework (OAF) pages, and author dynamic BI Publisher reporting templates. Working in a hybrid onsite environment, you will troubleshoot production issues, coordinate user acceptance testing, and ensure seamless financial data integration across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, administer, and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial modules including AP, AR, GL, and FA.
Manage Oracle Procurement and Projects modules, ensuring seamless integration with core financial ledgers.
Design, develop, test, and deploy custom extensions, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (CEMLI).
Write highly optimized SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and database triggers.
Develop and modify customized Oracle Forms, Reports, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) pages.
Author, test, and publish dynamic financial reports and regulatory dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher.
Configure and troubleshoot Oracle EBS Workflow notifications, approvals, and automated accounting processes.
Collaborate closely with finance controllers, business analysts, database administrators, and technical developers.
Troubleshoot production support tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and execute data fixes in accordance with controls.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience specializing in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials consulting and implementation.
Deep technical and functional expertise in Oracle EBS AP, AR, GL, FA, Procurement, and Project modules.
Strong programming proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for custom extension development and data migration.
Practical experience developing and modifying Oracle Forms, Reports, and OAF (Oracle Application Framework) components.
Proven ability to design and generate enterprise reports using BI Publisher and XML Publisher.
Working knowledge of Oracle EBS Workflow configuration and administrative setups.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting skills.
Strict local presence in California/Sacramento, with professional availability for hybrid onsite work as needed.
Nice-to-Have-Skills:
Professional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Oracle Financials.
Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP / Financials Fusion migration and co-existence architectures.
Familiarity with subledger accounting (SLA) rule configuration and multi-org access control (MOAC).
Prior working experience in public sector, state government, or large enterprise IT environments in California.
Knowledge of automated testing tools and CI/CD deployment pipelines for Oracle ERP patches and customizations.
