nAbout the Role:
nSteven D Darmstadt DDS Inc is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team in Anaheim, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced oral surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
nResponsibilities:
nAssist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and biopsies
nPrepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
nTake and process dental X-rays, including panoramic and periapical imaging
nMonitor and support patients during pre-op, procedure, and post-op recovery
nDocument patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately
nEducate patients on post-operative care and answer follow-up questions
nManage surgical supply inventory and ensure proper equipment maintenance
nRequirements:
nPrior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
nDental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred in California
nX-ray certification (Radiation Safety) required
nFamiliarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
nCPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
nStrong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
nExcellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
