These descriptions should not be considered to be all-inclusive listings of work requirements.C rane Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity characteristics or expression, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, medical condition, genetic information, or U.S. military or veteran status or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or applicable local law, in recruiting, hiring, training and promoting.Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesResolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints via phone and email.Assist with quotes, placement of orders, returns, credit/debit memos and cancellation of orders.Work with Quality and/or Engineering Department when receiving a Notice of Nonconformance.Utilize the ERP system to do daily functions.Work with multiple departments.Trace status of orders through shop floor.Be knowledgeable of product line, prices, delivery time, drop ship, as required.Prepare and forward paperwork for Returns and Replacements on problem orders.Able to organize and prioritize workload.File and scan documents to their appropriate location.Performs other allied duties as assigned by supervisor.Listens to and records customer feedback (negative and positive) information into NetSuite.Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments.Recommend improvements in products, packaging, shipping, service, or billing methods and procedures to prevent future problems.Light receptionist duties.Assists and works in conjunction with all other departments to facilitate smooth office operations.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not manage any other employees.Responsibilities/Duties:Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings, as well as share important information in a professional manner.Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.Education, Work Experience, Skill Requirements & Certifications:Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:High School Graduate or GED equivalent/Some college preferred.Minimum Experience required:Minimum 2+ years general office experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new customized software.Experience with ERP, NetSuite is a strong plus.Skills Required:Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously, prioritize work and handle last minute demands appropriately.Proven success with working in a team environment.Excellent communication, written and grammatical skills.Customer service oriented.Critical ThinkerProblem Solving/AnalysisMinimum License, Certifications & Affiliations/Memberships and CEU'sValid California driver's license and an insured vehicle in good working order.Special Requirement:May be required to work weekends and holidays as business necessitates; schedules will be determined by management with at least 48 hours advance notice.Work Environment:Frequently, in the office the following conditions apply:Employees work in an office with moderate noise levels (such as computers and printers) and controlled temperature conditions.Occasionally, in the shop, the following conditions may apply:Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortableRequires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
