Order Management SpecialistOur client, a global manufacturer serving industrial and specialty materials markets, is seeking an Order Management Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating customer orders, inventory, logistics, and delivery execution.The Order Management Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring orders are processed accurately, deliveries remain on schedule, and communication is proactive throughout the order lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesManage customer orders from entry through delivery with a high degree of accuracyProcess and maintain orders within SAP and other business systemsMonitor order status, inventory availability, and shipment schedulesProactively identify and communicate potential delivery risks or delaysServe as a primary point of contact for order-related customer inquiriesMaintain accurate order documentation and customer recordsCross-Functional CoordinationPartner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Shipping teams to ensure successful order executionCoordinate shipment readiness activities to support on-time delivery performanceCommunicate order updates and resolutions to both customers and internal stakeholdersBuild strong working relationships across multiple departmentsProcess ImprovementSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to order management and customer experienceIdentify recurring issues and recommend process enhancementsUtilize Microsoft 365 tools and business systems to improve operational efficiencyQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in order management, customer operations, logistics coordination, customer service, supply chain support, or related operational rolesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365PreferredSAP or ERP system experienceExperience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, industrial, or supply chain environmentsCRM system experienceExperience supporting order fulfillment, inventory coordination, shipping, or customer operationsIdeal BackgroundsCandidates may come from roles such as:Order Management SpecialistCustomer Operations SpecialistLogistics CoordinatorSupply Chain CoordinatorOrder Fulfillment SpecialistSales Support SpecialistCustomer Account CoordinatorCustomer Service Representative within a manufacturing or distribution environmentThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operational coordination, problem-solving, and working across teams to ensure customers receive a best-in-class experience.
