Overview
Join our Surgical Services team at Exeter Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Assistant.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive surgical care across the perioperative continuum-including inpatient rounding, Emergency Department consults, and OR first-assist responsibilities. You will work in close collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
Surgical & OR: Serve as 1st and 2nd surgical assistant in the Operating Room.
Patient Care & Rounding: Conduct inpatient rounds, manage follow-up care, perform ED consults, and write progress notes.
Clinical Management: Perform health assessments, establish differential diagnoses, order/evaluate diagnostic studies, and manage therapeutic procedures.
Prescribing: Prescribe and regulate medications per NH Board of Pharmacy/Nursing guidelines.
Quality & Improvement: Review quality/efficiency metrics, lead team improvement efforts, and support specialty certification initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of directly related surgical experience.
Education: Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
Licensure: Current New Hampshire license (or eligible).
Certification:
PA: National certification via NCCPA.
Current BLS certification.
Privileges: Eligibility for medical staff appointment and clinical privileges at Exeter Hospital.
