Work Environment
You will be working onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility located in Ridgewood, NJ. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized direct therapy treatments tailored to each patient's unique conditions, employing techniques such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and home exercise programs to foster better adherence to rehabilitation plans.
- Regularly assess patient progress using standardized metrics and modify treatment plans based on observable outcomes and patient feedback.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to create and implement comprehensive care strategies.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems efficiently, ensuring all patient records are accurate, secure, and up to date for seamless communication among the care team.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient demographics, each presenting unique challenges and recovery goals, allowing you to showcase your expertise and enhance your clinical skills.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is strongly preferred.
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience, demonstrating proficiency in orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Expertise in manual therapy techniques is essential, along with familiarity with EMR systems, preferably WebPT.
- A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training or certifications in orthopedic physical therapy, sports medicine, or related fields will be given preference. Experience working in an outpatient setting is a plus, as is any background in post-operative rehabilitation.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, contingent on experience and qualifications.
