Job Summary and Responsibilities

nAs our Orthopedic Surgeon for Total Joint Replacement, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team committed to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we proudly serve in Colorado Springs and the surrounding region. This crucial position will involve providing exceptional musculoskeletal care while actively contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.

nEvery day, your multifaceted role will involve a comprehensive range of responsibilities: You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic degenerative joint conditions in both dynamic outpatient and critical inpatient settings, ensuring thorough patient care. You will collaborate closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, physical therapists, and pain management specialists, fostering a truly integrated approach to complex patient management. You will work effectively with advanced practice providers, sports medicine specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered treatment plans that optimize outcomes. As a key member of our orthopedic service line, you will actively expand access to specialized, life-improving total joint replacement care for underserved populations. You will build strong and trust-based relationships with referring providers throughout the region, enhancing our network of critical care.

n nJob Requirements

nRequired

nnnMust have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.

n

nnObtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;

n

nnBe board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;

n

nnObtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution

n

nnActive or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado

nPenrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city.
