Job description

CPP Clinics is a leading provider of medical aesthetics services, offering innovative treatments across multiple medspas under the CPP umbrella. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences and outstanding results, utilizing advanced technologies and personalized care.

Wave Plastic Surgery, one of our valued partners, is looking for a part-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join their fast-growing, state-of-the-art clinic located in Los Angeles, California.

Wave Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Laser Center is a premier, physician-led cosmetic, aesthetic, and wellness practice with multiple locations across California. As the practice expands its non-surgical pain management offering, it is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to lead patient consultations and injection-based care within its pain clinic. The pain clinic currently treats an almost entirely personal-injury patient population, making experience working with personal-injury cases and related musculoskeletal conditions highly valuable.

The Orthopedic Surgeon is a highly skilled physician specializing in the non-surgical evaluation and management of musculoskeletal, joint, and chronic pain conditions. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while performing a range of therapeutic and image-guided injection procedures. The Orthopedic Surgeon ensures patient safety, satisfaction, and optimal outcomes while fostering trust and confidence in the care provided.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position requiring 1–2 days per week. The role is onsite with flexible working hours. We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance while ensuring business needs are met.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive, good-faith patient consultations and physical examinations, including review of medical history, imaging, and prior treatments, to evaluate musculoskeletal, joint, and chronic pain complaints and determine appropriate non-surgical management;

Develop, oversee, and adjust individualized non-surgical treatment plans for orthopedic and pain conditions, coordinating care with the clinical team as needed;

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic injection procedures, including but not limited to intra-articular (joint) injections, corticosteroid injections, trigger point injections, tendon and bursa injections, viscosupplementation, and regenerative injections (e.g., PRP), as clinically indicated and within scope of practice;

Utilize image guidance (ultrasound or fluoroscopy) where appropriate and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound) to inform diagnosis, guide injections, and monitor treatment response;

Provide second opinions and pre- and post-operative consultations, and refer patients for surgical intervention or to other specialists when clinically appropriate;

Accurately and promptly document all patient encounters, assessments, procedures, interventions, and outcomes in the patient's electronic medical record (EMR);

Provide comprehensive follow-up care, including management of acute complaints and ongoing pain conditions;

Promote patient retention through consistent, detailed, and timely follow-up communications and care;

Provide patient education, instructions, and counseling related to non-surgical pain management options, procedures, expected outcomes, and aftercare;

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the image and standards of the practice;

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities as required;

Represent the practice with integrity and discretion in all patient and community interactions;

Assist other providers with their patients and the practice's needs as directed;

Assist and support CPP's and the practice's support team as directed;

Demonstrate brand loyalty and promotion of the business as an individual and as a team member;

Maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant clinical environment in accordance with applicable practice policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements;

Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance policies and protocols to protect patients, staff, and the work environment;

Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and professional regulations, including ongoing monitoring of new or revised legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the position;

Maintain professional competency by participating in continuing education programs, reviewing relevant literature, and collaborating with colleagues to stay informed of developments in orthopedic and non-surgical pain medicine; and

Remain current with the latest evidence-based practices and emerging literature in non-surgical orthopedic and pain management to ensure delivery of safe and up-to-date patient care

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.

Demonstrated experience performing musculoskeletal and joint injections; ultrasound- or image-guided injection experience preferred.

Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain, where required for the administration or prescription of applicable medications.
