The facility maintains modern surgical equipment, experienced support staff, and clinical protocols to support emergency and inpatient orthopedic care delivery. A credentialing process of 30 to 45 days is required for incoming locum tenens clinicians.

About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage managing inpatient and emergency department consultations at this Level 4 trauma center in Kentucky, with monthly assignments covering the 15th through the end of each month beginning August 2026. Clinic responsibilities are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, followed by surgical call coverage from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Core orthopedic surgical procedures include joint replacements for hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as hand and foot fracture repairs, with potential pediatric cases in the clinic setting. The position requires managing 1-3 calls per 24-hour period, and EPIC EMR is utilized for clinical documentation at this facility.
