Overview:
Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring an Orthopedic Tech to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA.
Hours/Shift:
Full-time, Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Department/Position Overview:
This 24-bed unit works with patients that have had Orthopedic Surgery and med/surg patients as needed. The majority of our patients have had joint replacements, spine surgery or hand surgery. The ortho techs on the unit will assist with the mobility of the patients. We welcome interviewed applicants to shadow the unit to see what we are all about. As an Orthopedic Tech with Sentara, you will work under direct supervision of clinical staff and therapists. You will be responsible for preparing/cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies and transporting patients. Supporting both clerical and clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
One year of prior health care experience preferred.
One year of prior patient care experience preferred.
One yar of prior acute care experience preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.39 - $35.60 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Sentara Leigh Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage.
