Job description
A nationally recognized, award-winning community healthcare system in Upstate New York is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon or a General Orthopedic Surgeon with strong joint replacement experience to join an established, high-demand regional orthopedic program.

Established orthopedic practice with strong regional reputation
Primary need for Adult Reconstruction/Total Joints
General Orthopedic Surgeons with joint replacement experience are encouraged to apply

Collaborative team of experienced orthopedic and spine surgeons
Dedicated clinic and surgical APP support
Practice across two nearby clinic locations
Majority of surgeries performed at one primary hospital campus
Strong administrative support with continued investment in orthopedic growth
Current Team
Join an experienced orthopedic department consisting of:
Two long-tenured orthopedic surgeons with decades of experience
Fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon
Fellowship-trained Spine Surgeon who recently joined the practice and has experienced exceptional early growth and patient demand
Experienced orthopedic Physician Assistants supporting clinic operations
Dedicated surgical Physician Assistants providing first-assist support in the operating room
The practice values collaboration, mentorship, and long-term physician retention while continuing to expand orthopedic services throughout the community.
Practice Support
Experienced clinic-based APP team
Dedicated surgical first-assist PAs
Efficient referral network
Established patient base with immediate volume available
Administrative leadership committed to physician success
Schedule & Call
Approximately 1:4 call
Additional compensation available for excess call
Balanced clinic and operative schedule
Opportunity to tailor practice based on subspecialty interests and experience

Candidate Qualifications
We welcome candidates who are:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joints preferred
General Orthopedic Surgeons with strong joint replacement experience are also encouraged to apply
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
Interested in becoming part of a collaborative, community-focused orthopedic program
Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while helping grow orthopedic services
