Job description
Established orthopedic group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing orthopedic urgent care team. This position offers a 100% outpatient practice treating acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in patients of all ages.
Position Highlights
Clinic Hours: Monday Friday: 9 AM 7 PM; Saturday Sunday: 9 AM 5 PM
Evening and weekend shifts required; individual schedules may vary.
Join an established team of APPs and sports medicine physicians
100% outpatient orthopedic urgent care
Treat acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
Access to board-certified orthopedic specialists and comprehensive therapy services
Walk-in clinic with weekday, evening, and weekend shifts
Multiple practice locations throughout Virginia
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and testing
Perform fracture and dislocation reductions and management
Provide laceration repair and joint injections
Develop treatment plans and provide patient education
Collaborate with orthopedic physicians as needed
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Job Requirements
Board Certified/Eligible
Prefer 2+ years of orthopedic experience or practice in Emergency/Urgent Care clinical/hospital setting
Active/current state medical license and eligible for a VA Medical License
DEA License
Physical health to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
Candidate must have experience in:
Sports injuries Sprains & strains Slips, trips, falls
Hand & wrist injuries Foot & ankle injuries Knee/shoulder injuries
Cuts & lacerations
Back & neck injuries
Broken bones
Sports physicals (NOVA & RIC)
Work-related injuries
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay range: $111,200.00 - $166,800.00
