Job description
An inpatient orthopedic practice in Neptune City, NJ is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role supports daily orthopedic trauma care, inpatient rounds, and coordination with the care team.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
Setting: Inpatient hospital setting
Responsibilities:
Perform daily inpatient rounds and floor work
Round on pre-operative and post-operative patients
Assist with consults and care coordination
Complete discharges in a timely manner
Assist other PAs with splinting as needed
Qualifications:
Current Physician Assistant licensure
Active DEA registration
Active CDS registration
Experience in orthopedic trauma, general surgery, or inpatient surgical care
Desired Skills:
Experience working in a locum tenens assignment
Familiarity with inpatient orthopedic trauma workflows
Ability to collaborate effectively with another APP
